IECRE is a new system developed by IEC for the certification of the standards related to devices used in applications of Renewable Energies, which will replace the certification system used so far.
The main aim of the IECRE System is to simplify international trade in equipment and services for use in Renewable Energy Sectors while maintaining the required level of safety. IECRE’s members are Member Bodies, Certification Bodies, Testing Laboratories and Inspection Bodies.
The certification obtained by Barlovento refers to the Standard IEC 61400-12-1:2005 “Wind turbines - Part 12-1: Power performance measurements of electricity producing wind turbines,” standard universally accepted by wind turbines manufacturers.
The certification in this new system is the continuation of the activities carried out by Barlovento’s testing laboratory, which obtained the accreditation ISO-17025 for this standard years ago.
The certification ICRE was the logical outcome of the works the company has been carrying out in pursuit of excellence and independence as wind laboratory.
Barlovento is a leader company in engineering, consultancy and testing of renewable energies and has carried out hundreds of tests all over the world, and has been one of the first laboratories in obtaining this certification worldwide.
