The wind farm will join Qollpana I, with 3 MW, and Qollpana II, with 24 MW currently under construction. Both located in Cochabamba and at a great altitude. Unlike these plants, the new wind farm will be located in a flat region, at about 400 m above sea level.
Barlovento will begin the project by conducting wind resource, geothechnical, electrical, environmental and logistics studies
