The conference will be held 22-25 May in Anaheim, California in the United States. The DTBird and DTBat showcase will be at booth 3951.
DTBat is a self-working System that detects bat passes in real-time, and takes automatic actions linked to bat detection.
Among the technology's applications are autonomous bat monitoring. and bat mortality reduction through automatic actions.
For the Wind Industry, the DTBat system automatically surveys the airspace around Wind turbines and optionally, can reduces the collision risk by triggering wind turbine stops linked to real-time bat activity or other environmental variables.
The DTBat system is also fully accountable, producing records of every bat pass detected and action taken.
The company has a proven track record safeguarding bats and birds.
In 2015 Ecocom, in collaboration Vindform, initiated a pilot project to install and showcase the DTBird system, and to evaluate how the DTBird system performs under Swedish conditions.
The later review found the system viable for bird detection and enables species' identification of large and medium-sized birds. The analysts said the system offers effective protection for large birds by reducing their dwell time in the risk area between 61-87 percent.
The system was also found to trigger avoidance behaviour in 88 percent of cases where the bird is on a collision course with the wind turbine.
