The sixth edition of the annual event is currently taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and continues through Thursday.
The company has been present in Brazil since 1999 through its subsidiary Ingeteam LTDA that started working in the renewable sector in 2011. Since then Ingeteam LTDA has manufactured 1,280 MW of frequency converters for the wind energy market at the facilities in the state of São Paulo.
This accounts for 20 percent of the country’s overall installed wind power capacity.
All the frequency converters manufactured by Ingeteam in Brazil comply with the local requirements established by the BNDES (Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e
Social) for FINAME accreditation.
During 2015 inaugurated its brand new facilities extended to more than 5,000 m2 of usable space with 125 workers manufacturing frequency converters.
Ingeteam converters are designed to achieve maximum efficiency and reliability and comply with the strictest grid codes.
Ingeteam will be showcasing its electrical equipment for wind turbines up to 10 MW during the trade fair.
