The acquisition will contribute approximately 125 GWh in annual production to Locus Energy’s existing portfolio of sustainable energy production assets in Finland, which includes wind, solar and hydro power.
The wind farms are located in the municipalities of Raahe, Uusikaupunki and Leppävirta in the northwest, south west and east of Finland.
“Our ambition is to create flexible electricity generation by up-grading and connecting already existing assets” said Niklas Sörensen, CEO of Locus Energy. “Acquiring the Susi portfolio contributes to this ambition. Furthermore, we see great potential in the Finnish market where Locus Energy’s ambition to invest in sustainable energy generating assets supports Finland’s overarching goal to become carbon neutral by 2035.”
SEB Nordic Energy is focusing on direct investments in renewable energy infrastructure assets in the Nordic region, particularly in small-scale hydropower, wind power, solar energy and geothermal energy, through both new construction and through upgrading of existing facilities to enhance efficiency and energy production.
