The contract for the supply of 30 kilometeres of MVAC array subsea cables was awarded by the developer Vattenfall Wind Power. The wind farm is scheduled to start generating electricity during the course of 2014 with commissioning of the extension in 2015. The existing wind farm, consisting of thirty 3MW turbines, is operated by Vattenfall and will be extended by an additional fifteen 3MW turbines. The facility stands in 5 metres of water and located off the north coast of Kent.
