The two wind farms, each with 5 wind energy systems, have a combined nominal output of 30.8 MW. PNE Wind AG developed both of the wind farms and will also take over the technical operations management upon their completion.
While the Calau II C wind farm and a necessary transformer substation have already been commissioned, construction work is currently still being carried out on the Calau II D section. In order to be able to make optimum use of the location in a forested area, PNE WIND AG selected the Vestas V112 - 3.0 MW wind energy systems with a particularly high hub height of 140 metres. This ensures that the new turbines can produce environmentally friendly electricity from the wind equivalent to the annual consumption of about 26,000 four person households.
Allianz has purchased several projects located in Germany and abroad from WKN AG in the past. This cooperation is now being continued with the PNE Wind Group.
