Marco Ceroni, CEO at Repower Renewables – a joint venture of the Repower Group and the Capenergie III fund managed by Omnes Capital – said, "Repower Renewables is a platform for the development, construction and aggregation of renewable energy plants in Italy. We are glad to continue the relationship with Senvion for the construction and management of our wind farms."
The Rosario wind farm will consist of two Senvion 3.6M140 turbines with a capacity of 3 MW each. The installation of the wind farm will be completed by May this year and at that time, with a rotor size of 140 metres and a hub height of 107 metres, the Senvion wind turbines will be the largest rotor turbines ever installed in Italy. The towers of the turbines will be built in Italy, while the nacelles and the blades will be produced in Germany and Portugal respectively.
Carlo Schiapparelli, Managing Director of Senvion Italy, said, “I would like to thank Repower Renewables for their trust in Senvion.”
