At a 200 square meter booth (M01 in pavilion 1 of the Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles), new products for wind energy plants, grid connections, operations and services are being presented from 17-20 November.
Within its solutions along the entire energy value chain, Siemens combines modern wind turbine technology with efficient transportation processes and installation as well as operational management, service and maintenance.
Siemens is also striking out in new directions regarding grid connections: The new HVDC technology to efficiently connect large offshore wind power plants to energy grids on shore can be seen at the M01 booth. Additionally, components like generators and controls as well as so called multilevel wind SCADA centers – digital control centers for wind power plants will be on display to round off our booth presentation.
"EWEA 2015 in Paris is one of the most important trade shows for us this year," said Markus Tacke, CEO of Siemens Wind Power and Renewables Division. "We will show at our booth how our customers from various European markets can benefit from intelligent connected Siemens technologies and services along the entire value chain."
On the first day of the trade show the Siemens Wind Power and Renewables Division will present its new logistics concept at a press conference. This concept intends to connect future production facilities for the 75 meters long offshore rotor blades in Hull, UK, and D7 nacelles from Cuxhaven, Lower Saxony, with existing harbor and production locations in Denmark. Furthermore highly industrialized processes for the production and installation of the plants help to reduce time and costs.
At the Siemens booth visitors can also learn more about the second generation of HVDC-grid connections for offshore wind parks which were introduced in October. This technology reduces costs arising from high-voltage direct-current transmission by one third. Furthermore, visitors can gain insights about how the maintenance of onshore and offshore plants can be performed in a highly efficient way through an interactive terminal.
Here the focus is not only on remote diagnosis, but also on optimized operations and the analysis of big data in addition to predictive maintenance and repair services. Within a comprehensive presentation program, experienced experts located at the "Siemens X-pert Center" will demonstrate advantages of the direct drive wind turbines or how energy yield can be optimized by modern operating strategies.
