With this new approach, AEE confirms its status as a reference in the wind energy sector worldwide. Spain is among leading nations with 16,740 MW installed by 1 January 2009 and the presence of Spanish companies in many of the major international markets, with over 8,000 MW installed.
The English version of www.aeeolica.org keeps the same sections as the Spanish version, being divided into four main parts: The Association, Wind Power Observatory, Events and Press Room.
Information provided on Wind Power Observatory includes the Wind Map section, where you can find the location of all wind farms in Spain, and the data and characteristics of each one of them. General statistics on wind energy development in Spain, as well as in the rest of the world are also available in this section. Data are provided on installed capacity by region and by developers or manufacturers, the generation of wind energy in the recent years, and links to websites that perform daily wind forecasting and monitoring.
The Association contains, in addition to the list of almost two hundred companies members of AEE and the composition of their governing bodies, key publications produced by the Association, such as the yearbook Wind Power'09 or The Macroeconomic Study on the impact of Wind Energy in Spain carried out by Deloitte.
