Japanese renewable energy company Tepco Renewable Power is aiming to significantly expand its offshore wind portfolio. As part of this strategy, the company sought a solution to accurately evaluate maintenance and management costs, predict future cash flows, and streamline operational logistics, deciding in favour of Shoreline Wind’s simulation software.
“Shoreline Wind’s industry-leading O&M simulation software is extremely effective in assessing operation costs of offshore wind farms, especially in securing resources such as personnel, vessels, and ports, and in building logistics systems” a spokesperson from Tepco said.
Integrating this software into the design phase of its offshore wind projects will provide Tepco with a digital framework for insights into costs, availability, and resource utilisation during the operations and maintenance campaigns. A key task will be the estimation of maintenance costs and vessel specifications, including the costs and specifications of Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) during operations.
